INTERIOR DESIGN FOR A TWO STOREY RESIDENTIAL EXTENSION

SECOND FLOOR LIVING/KITCHEN AREA

A view of the second floor extension which serves as a living and kitchen area. The big challenge for me was, I have to fit-in the existing furniture from their previous house. Since the area is smaller I have to re-organized and refurbish the existing furniture!

MINI LANDSCAPE PROJECT IN OUR HOUSE ON A BUDGET

We wanted to upgrade the small landscape corner located at the back of my dad's working table in our Terrace. But to be honest we really don't have any budget to do some major landscaping design along that area. So my mom and I decided to buy some pebble stones to make the area look a little bit cool and quite different from its old appearance.

The small white pebbles where used as accent design and majority of the stones are from 50 to 100 mm diameters...so that my dog won't play with the big ones...(by the way my dog loves to play with the small stones that's why we bought a lot of the big stones)

Our budget is 1,000.00 Php only (for the stones)

yup that's my chow chow dog...inspecting the new design! hahaha!!

Just in case we have another budget, my mom and I planned to buy a water feature.. but for now eto muna! at least mas maaliwalas na sya ngayon kaysa dati...sorry for the poor quality of pictures I forgot to use my SLR because of the excitement. hehehe....

SA ARKITEKTO SIGURADO

UAP's Sa Arkitekto Sigurado Campaign

Architects are necessary.

Some people choose not to hire an Architect because they perceive it as an additional cost to their construction price. We should dissuade them from this thinking, and explain the fallacy of this idea. In the long run, it is truly more cost effective to have an Architect on board from conceptualization.

Some resort to other Professionals who are not Registered Licensed Architects to design their structure. Though this may be functional, not every aspect of the design process has been undergone, and may result in an inefficient structure. Furthermore, the aesthetic quality will definitely be lacking, since Art is not a major part in their curriculum.

Hiring a Registered Licensed Architect is a requirement by law, but more importantly, Functionality, Accessibility, and Safety are assured.

Hiring an Architect is a necessity, not a luxury. It is more cost-effective to hire an Architect, a professional you can trust.

---SULIT.

To embody these three tenets, we may adhere to this one statement:
Architects design well-planned buildings and structures that elevate the quality of life.

---SIGURADO.

Sa Arkitekto, SIGURADO!

my thoughts:

Thank you very much UAP for doing this!...I have heard a lot of cases that some clients encounter the malpractice of design and construction...not knowing that they had spent more money and poor quality of materials by not hiring an Architect for the design.

Again Guys you should hire Licensed Architects in designing your future residence or building because we truly know how to execute the right design solution and good quality of materials, not to mention the right budget for your own needs!

I support this campaign all the way!!!

This is a 25 square meters Bedroom on a high rise condominium. The design of this room is a combination of neutrals and blues, with a modern chic style. Feeling mo nasa hotel ka pero nasa bedroom mo lang ikaw! ang saya!

Thank you very much to http://sketchuptexture.blogspot.it/ for the Visopt.

I think I have improved my skills in rendering through the help of sketchup textures. Big thanks!

enjoy!

note: this is not an actual project, I made this design to upgrade my knowledge in interior and sketchup, and for my portfolio.

COMBINED LIVING AND DINING

This is a design of combined living and dining area of a small two-storey residence. It has an area of more or less 32 square meters at the ground floor. In a small living space like this, you can make the area look bigger by choosing the right furniture that will fit properly in the desired space. Be minimalist, yet be bold in the color scheme. Glass materials can double the area of the room, but it should be placed in the proper location where it can enhance the design. Choose light colors for the base, and add strong colors for the accents. Provide coffer ceilings and do some horizontal effects on the wall to make the area bigger.

    SHABBY CHIC DESIGN THEME

    The Shabby Chic Look:

Shabby Chic Design theme mainly used pastel colors and floral patterns. A lot of girls likes this kind of design because of its warmth feel and relaxing ambiance. In this design i used green and turquoise color scheme with floral patterns. The cool feeling of green determines the coziness of the room

    MY LOGO

This is my logo. Ok, yep..i'm dreaming..i don't have any architecural firm, but its my dream to have one. Since right now i might call myself as a freelance architect, because i'm not employed but i'm still working on with some projects, why not do my own stuff? So i could showcase my love for drawing and designing. This is my own logo..it represents my initials. SVC stands for Samantha Villafuerte Conde.

I'm just praying that god will guide me in my journey as an Architect. Striving from a dark past, yes i have all the reasons why right now i am still un employed from a corporate job. And  arising myself from depression (really it was hard to experience depression - 2 years of suffering, all the medicines and stuff, so tiring) So I say of myself..why not pursuing my greatest dream? This will be the start. mark this day as the start of my goal to achieve my dreams.

    POP ART THEME

    Pop Art Theme Bedroom

I would say that, this kind of theme may go with modern design. Comics, Movies and  Anime lovers might get along with this design. By using bold colors to match with some quirky stuff that you'll find unique, it will surely go with its design flow. Adding a lot of movie stars animation potraits will simple do the pop art stuff. Why not try this design, it will surely make you happy, relax and be more creative!

    NAUTICAL THEME BEDROOM

If you love sailing or the feeling of the beach surroundings. Why not try this nautical look with a girly girl feeling. Most of the time this design theme were used for designing a boy's bedroom because of the masculine colors.. but hey why not try it for girls too. By adding some splash of pink. It will surely turn into gal nautical!
